Berean Christian High School

Berean Christian High School is a private, co-educational Christian school. It is part of Berean Christian School and is in northeastern Knoxville. The grounds are at 2329 Prosser Road, east of Broadway, south of Interstate 640 and north of Interstate 40.

Berean Christian School opened in 1986. The high school portion of the school opened in 1998 with 15 students. The school has grown since that time but keeps its maximum school enrollment limited to approximately 160 students.

Berean Christian High School has full accreditation from the Association of Christian Schools International and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. It is also a member of the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association. The school is an outreach ministry of Berean Bible Church.

The school’s athletic program consists of basketball, soccer, swimming, golf and cross country for boys and basketball, soccer, swimming, volleyball and cross country for girls.

Berean Christian High School is a college preparatory school. A minimum of 24 credits are required in Bible, English, history, math, science, Spanish, fine arts, wellness, as well as electives.

Admission to Berean is based on a written application, testing and an interview with the school’s headmaster. Tuition and fees cover the cost of instruction, books, accident insurance and field trips. The cost of admission for high school students for the 2008-2009 school year was $5,406.
